Ciudad Quesada
Ciudad Quesada is situated on the Costa Blanca about 35 minutes' drive south of Alicante. This is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday and an attractive location for golfers. Only 10-15 minutes' drive will take you to endless blue flag sandy beaches, but in addition there is lots in the area to explore, both on foot and by car.
The town centre itself has a great selection of good restaurants and bars offering entertainment for all ages. Make your way down to the popular Don Carlos Bars and you can often enjoy a free Flamenco show whilst eating your meal or having a drink. Quesada holds its own Moors and Christians Fiesta in the summer months and if you like Karaoke, quizzes or musical entertainment, I feel sure you will not be disappointed. That's not to say that you won't find quieter areas too and some excellent places for eating out at very reasonable prices.
There are plenty of banks if you need to change some money. There is a medical centre in case of illness and all the local pharmacies are also able to offer good advice. Many people speak English now, so language shouldn't be a problem.
Ciudad Quesada is divided into small urbanizations - the popular La Laguna Hotel is situated at the "Doña Pepa" entrance to Quesada; there are other entrances at Pueblo Bravo and La Fiesta (signposted Lo Pepin).
Sporting Facilities: Apart from the obvious attraction of the La Marquesa Golf Course (and many other golf courses in the area), there are plenty of sporting facilities to be enjoyed in this region. Ciudad Quesada itself has its own Aqua Park, with slides and pools, offering fun for all the family. Tennis courts can be found not far from the Town Centre. This is also a very popular area for walking and birdwatching.
